In all fairness, seeing today's prompt made me tidy up my desktop a bit. I had a whole list of things down the left that needed to be filed or orgainzed so I did that before I took the screenshot. Is that cheating? Eh.
I also have my desktop set to rotate every five or 15 minutes, I don't remember which, so as pretty as it is right now lord knows what it'll be in a short time.
Shopping trip went well. I got the bras I needed and a couple pairs of shoes from Payless (that aren't super GREAT shoes, in terms of support, but they're better than what I'm wearing now). I didn't buy a single thing from old Navy, which is surprising, but they're really hit or miss sometimes. You can walk in on a Monday and not find a single thing and by Friday they have all new stock. I just found that what they had yesterday was ugly in terms of prints and fabric and like, I'm not wearing a fucking jumpsuit made out of stretch rayon or whatever it was. Noooo thank you.
So that helped my spending quite a bit. I bought some tea from David's Tea, which we don't have here, instead. Lunch at Swiss Chalet was awesome. Everywhere we went yesterday was places we don't have here, and they're not even exclusive or fancy stores. We can't have a Payless and Swiss Chalet here, in a town of 60k+? Fuck off.
When I got home I realized that the water I spilled on my keyboard the night before did a number on it. Wouldn't type almost any letter on the middle row and would type ou for o. It was a wireless Mac keyboard so that sucked, because I'm not shelling out the money to replace it, but I'm a bit happier right now because the new wireless keyboard I bought has a number pad, which the Mac one didn't. The only thing that's gonna take some getting used to is that the quick keys aren't the same since there's no more Apple key, or CMD. It's the button with the Windows logo on it, and it's not in the same spot.
BUT I HAVE A DELETE BUTTON INSTEAD OF JUST A BACKSPACE AND THAT'S AMAZING. But no light to indicate when capslock is on. I guess you CAN'T have it all. /first world problems
Today I walked to the store to pick up prescriptions and get a card for mom's birthday. I also watched the second half of How to Get Away with Murder, everything that aired after the mid-season break. I'm really glad this show sticks with the shorter seasons. I get very bored and confused with these types of shows that are twisty and turny and take 22 episodes to get a story out (or not, if they're total assholes about it) so only having to get through 14-16 episodes is WAY better. Much more marathon-able and easier for me to keep track of. There's also less filler, although I found this second half different than last season or the first half of this season since there weren't episodic cases for the team to work on, while the over-arching case was on-going. There was also all the flashback stuff which didn't grip me as much as season 1 did.
I have a bunch of episodes of Supergirl, probably 8?, piling up on my dvr. I have to say that I wasn't very impressed with Melissa Benoist or the character. I hated her work friend who's in love with her and to be very honest I'm often very bored with Superman and that whole universe in general. Hearing this does anyone have any thoughts on whether it's worth it to keep them and catch up on the season?
Sushi tomorrow with the family (well, two of us will eat [almost] anything fish-based, the other two turn heir noses up at it) and bracing myself for a return to work on Monday.
