Rectober! Part 3 (I'm failing) & TV stuff
Going over some shows vaguely so not bothering with a cut.
Scorpion has been hitting it out of the park this season! I'm loving the play between Toby and Happy. I'm LOVING the bolder Sylvester and his dance from a couple weeks ago. Also, can Ray stay? Like, for a while? I don't want to say forever but GOD he's awesome. Right now, anyway. We'll see what his bigger purpose is soon, I'm sure. Loving Peri Gilpin, too, way more than the other gov't liaison.
Caught up on the first three eps of Agents of SHIELD so far this season, as well, and I'm really into that so far, as well! I had to refresh myself on what happened at the end of season 2 but it didn't take long for things to more or less come back. Enjoying Simmons' arc, or what we've seen of it so far. Loving Daisy's new mission and her bigger presence as a leader. May's never been very intriguing or interesting for me but I'm liking where she is so far. Don't really care about Lincoln either. *shrugs*
I think I'm giving Minority Report this week's episode and I'll decide if I care enough to keep going. I can see the writing on the wall with it and I don't think it's long for this world at this point. Haven't watched last night's Quantico yet but I will, I guess, but maybe I'll let a couple build up and watch a bunch to see if it's better marathoned?
DVR'ing Fargo, which I didn't watch the first season of but this season has a good cast and I'm hearing good things. I'm intrigued but haven't started it yet. Also haven't watched any How to Get Away with Murder yet, either, but it's waiting for me once I have a good run built up.
This week's Bob's Burgers was AWESOME. Loved it; their Halloween eps are always ace.
In other news, we have a new Prime Minister for the first time in almost a decade! PC leader Stephen Harper and his helmet hair was defeated by Justin Trudeau in quite an upset. At most I was hoping for a minority Liberal government but damn did this country turn that shit over. Of course, here in Alberta it's so fucking blue I feel like I'm swimming in the fucking ocean. Provincially we went NDP earlier this year and I guess people are reacting somewhat to that in a big way. Baby steps, I guess. I hate the dude that was elected for my riding. :( Oh well, we won the war this time.
I don't know how much faith I have that things will get better, say economically (especially right away) but I wanted a change and I'm relieved. Also, I believe a lot of the laws that infringed on sections of our society's rights will be repealed or rescinded and that's super important, of course. No more bullshit about the niqab, for fuck's sake!
