I really have to quit leaving things to the last second

I've got a fancast challenge due tomorrow for gameofcards and I'm just getting my ass in gear right now. Can't seem to motivate myself to work on something or even come up with a game plan until it's coming down to the wire.

What I've learned from this is that there are few younger, redheaded male celebrities who I think look even halfway attractive.

I have done a GG fashion post for the past couple of years but I was pretty underwhelmed by the whole event last night so I think I'll skip it. I don't even know why I bothered in the past, actually.

I found there was too little Amy and Tina and what there was of them last night was overshadowed by a too-long, touchy running joke. I thought last night was particularly self-serving for the talent (I mean, I get that it's an award show. It's an event made to directly jerk off the latest ingenue and stud and showcase how much money the studios spent to buy the awards, I KNOW) because of the Charlie Hebdo stuff, especially. Like, just because you gave a standing ovation to the dude from the HFPA who sprinkled a little "free speech" here and "standing in support of" there doesn't mean you're actually DOING anything.

Doesn't help that I've seen, I think, ONE of the movies that was up for noms last night and that was Gone Girl which stood no chance aside from writing and MAYBE directing. The awards went to very random things, as well. Not that they weren't necessarily deserving but just out of left field.

We'll see how the Oscars go. I don't think I've watched in a couple years just because the GGs are lately about as much as I can stand for "serious" awards. I'm more of an MTV Movie Awards gal (not even the music ones because I don't know/don't like at LEAST half of the performers/nominees for the music shows).

celebrities: lol, fandom: communities, celebrities aren't gods, fandom: challenges
