(no subject)
I had a great night last night. Yes I made the cardinal sin of singing karaoke. I promised myself after two consecutive years of drunken karaoke christmas parties at the delta house that I would abstain for the rest of my adult life. But no. I couldn't hold myself back. At least this time I wasn't as drunk...wait...is that a good or bad thing? I don't know. And to top it off guess what song I sang...yes..i did it... 'Girls just wanna have fun'. I am hanging my head in shame today. I walked into class this morning and most of the people in there were at the pub last night. Everyone looked so tired especially Jannie (the girl who sang with me, she's from the Netherlands). It was so funny. She was considerably drunker than I was. It is so so so funny hearing american songs being sung with varying degrees of different accents...hahahaha. So great.
I went to a record store downtown the other day and I was amazed to see so much indie type music. Seriously though. On the shelf I found Tom Waits, Rilo Kiley, Ani Difranco...(the list goes on) it was so great. I had to lovingly pick up each CD and admire the cover art. :) I second Jess's motion of missing the radio station. I am a music junkie and I need a fix. Though what's great about my ed class is we listen to music for the first 15 mins of class. This gives me time to actually wake up...since we all know that I am nowhere close to being awake at 9 AM. What normal person is?
So this weekend we are having our first big party. Last Friday I went to an international house party and it was pretty damn fun. I got wasted...I drank so much it was ridiculous. Not to mention I sampled a million people's drinks...and I smoked...bad me. I had wine, beer, vodka, whiskey...bad bad bad.
Anywho, so we are having a bunch of those people over and it will be really fun. I am seriously never coming back to Linfield...it rocks too much here. :) I do miss you all lots though and I hope everyone is doing well!
