i will start today's post with a queston,
What makes Pink Lemonade pink? I mean accept artificial food color?
Now lets get to the real post, I am preping for a new class to start. The final number is 37 students. Which is a hell of a lot better then 45! My Classroom holds 20 people confortably. This new class start is a bit rediculas. It started that we were capping enrolemt at 30, then became 35, then 40, last 45! State law says that my teacher to student ratio can not go beyond 1:15 which means i am going to be lead teaching two other staff memebrs. These two staff memebrs keep changing. I got the final names last week. One teacher is very experianced and i can not wait to work with her. THe other is a train wreck who is always on the verge of getting fired! should be fun!
My students are suposed to get a kit on thier first day. This is the second class that i will teach in which they will not recieve the kits until later in the week. Which really does't sound to bad, except you can't really teach people how to style hair, if they have no hair, combs, irons ect. The best i can expect on my kits is to have them for the students by wednesday of their first week.
I then found out, that i didn't have enough table or chairs for my new student. SO today i stole all the extra tables and chairs i could find in the buildling. Alas i found enough and my students can sit! I may have pissed off all of the other staff who needed those chairs, but too bad for them!
I then got to un load ummm whats 40x9 text books 360 text books! yeah i got to lug all of those to my classroom and set them out on kits. Well the Cases that the student kits will eventualy go into! My boss sat in her office watching me lug books and said "god miranda when your done you should be real strong." but never came out to help me. ehhhh its all good
I then got to create sanitation guides, attendance forms, advising forms, starting day packetts, and then photo copied all of the hand outs for the next ten weeks. Had meeting about when student instructors could come in to guest speak in my class
Then had a metting with enrolment staff over an students who have any learning disabilites and all that nose
at this point it is6 pm, and i still aven't had lunch!
I came home cooked dinner, did laudnry and now am enjoying live journal.....
