Wasted morning?

I've spent all morning catching up with the 'net. After waking up at 5am because of a close and loud flash of lightning, I finished reading a fan fic I started yesterday and caught up with my flist because I never checked it yesterday (I was too busy reading/sewing/cleaning). The internet used to be a sort of refuge for me in my home, now all I want to do is sew and found this to be a bit of a chore this morning. It was a fun chore but it took way too much time.

The thing that started it all was sewing related and then it kind of snowballed from there. I needed to print out the instructions for joining the ends of the binding on a quilt top so I Googled it and found some links and checked them out. Then I came across a page of links and checked others out, like the machine quilting ones because I just started that. I found the page I needed here, printed the pdf and then took a look around her site, because I had lost it between hard disk swipes. Then I remembered I had a fic I wanted to finish, it was open in my tabs, so I read that and then remembered i hadn't checked my flist all day. That is unusual for me so I jumped on it and posted a few comments and now I'm updating my own journal.

i have to go sew soon. This has taken too long and I'm now obsessed with sewing! It feels weird to have my priorities shift so much. Now I just have to join the two and post what I've sewn but I'm reluctant to because I type a lot and it seems to take about an hour per project to get it all down when I could be working on the next one. Arg! i need to find balance! but that is my normal state anyways, unbalanced ^_^
