www.elosh.com I had the above artists listed to follow up on since I went to the SVA MFAI Book show last year. If you're looking for some high-quality visual stimuli, I highly recommend the above artists; all graduating this year from SVA, and all wonders to behold!
Even David Ercolini, who seems to be un-findable on the web. David, I loved your comic-styled storytelling of the boy hiding the fact that he wet the bed by doing laundry all by himself in the middle of the night- but how can I help spread the greatness of it to others if I can't point anyone to a single image of it online? WORK WITH ME, David! :D
Friends of Lulu @ NYCC!
In other news, Friends of Lulu is organizing two panels during the New York Comic-Con. We're excited to be doing this, and are in need of some women comic artists to be on those panels. If you're going to NYCC, and would like both you and your work showcased in a panel geared towards kids talking about kids comics, or a panel about women in the comic industry, then please drop me a line! Marion (at) marionvitus (dot) com, or marionfriendsoflulu (at) yahoo (dot) com, or simply leave a comment so I may follow up with you.
Audience participation time!
My to-do list is longer than it has ever been before. I'm going to be at the computer all day either cleaning up comic work, coloring comic work, or doing people-to-people business. I anticipate insanity will set in along about four pm and I'll streak through the streets demanding potstickers. If you think I won't make it until four pm, please comment with your estimate at when I'll snap. If you think I will make it past four pm, please comment with your estimate at when I'll snap. The person closest without going over will win a drawing of me going snap in black and white.
