Rambling

Today I returned things and bought more things.

Earlier this week I bought the wrong cartridge for my printer because I didn't know anything about it other than the brand is Lexmark. I'm sure this is the Office Depot equivalent of "I know the cover is blue." However, the staff at this particular Office Depot were a bit overly attentive. They would not leave me alone. (I was there ten minutes before closing, and I guess they wanted to make sure I was out on time.) I ended up driving to Toco Hills to return the cartridge back to another Office Depot just to avoid them.

I also bought these rubber thimbles to help me sort money and open bags. I'm trying to stop licking my fingers to get the damn bags open; I'm worried it offends customers, especially since my tongue is pierced.

I don't know about these. I think they're a bit disturbing. Do they have to be flesh-colored? And the attempt at multiracial skin tones, while admirable, is rather creepy, like someone hacked off fingertips from a bunch of different people. It looks like you're wearing miniature condoms on your hands.

I also returned (to CVS, not Office Depot) some hair coloring. Remind me to never give Garnier any more chances: all their reds are pink/purple based. (Fortunately, due to a previous bad experience with Garner, I had only dyed a test strand.) I ended up using Feria #74, and I don't know if I like it or not. It's almost too bright.

North Druid Hills, where I was today, is a lovely area. I used to drive through it all the time on the way to work, but since I've switched stores I don't go over there as much. It's all lush foliage and bagel shops and cedar houses. It looks vaguely West Coast to me, or how I imagine the West Coast to look.

Why is it so hot here? Isn't it supposed to be raining?
