Obviously, I thought the movie was fantastic, YOU SHOULD ALL GO WATCH IT WIDESCREEN NAO!!! I think I'm in love with Spock. Haha most of the movie duration was spent quite outwardly fangirling and an urge to reach out and huggle all three Spocks for some odd inane reason. Or at least have Kirk do it. <3
The only complaint as a fervent slasher is that Spock/Uhura scene. Shirley -extremely homophobic. well... slashaphobic at least- was probably snickering inwardly. lmao, but they only put that pairing in to STOP slashers, not that they managed to. (information kudos to Victoria) I found this incredibly intriguing though I couldn't find anything about it on the internet. btw, have I mentioned how much I love the net? Yeah. Very.
