OMG
That's all I'm going to say about the last part for now-I want to know what happens next!
Actually, I won't say anything about Chad and Orihime's parts either yet, not until I read the actual chapter.
EDIT: ok, I can't help it, I'm too interested, I have to say something.
Why does everyone assume that if that guy is Kaien, than Kaien had turned to the dark side? He obviously don't remember ever being Kaien (if he ever did), wouldn't the most likely assumption be that he lost his memory when he was made into whatever he is now?
And everyone seems to ignore the fact that he introduced himself not as Kaien, so why do people keep on saying that he is trying to impose Kaien? I'm not saying that it's unlikely for him to be a fake (I'm actually leaning toward the possibility that he is the hollow who ate Kaien, and somehow kept his appearance), but he is obviously not trying to trick Rukia right now.
And why do people keep on thinking that Orihime losing her control is a good thing? Not bothering “playing obedient” and crying means that she is starting to expose her true feelings and intent to Aizen, although Aizen probably knew that already anyways.
But losing tamper + physical outburst =/= power! It reflects vulnerability. Ulqui was impressed with her before because she was able to think clearly in such a dreadful situation what’s best for her and her objective, she didn’t let hopelessness take over at least.
Don’t get me wrong, I think this is good character development on her part, showing her to be what she is: a young girl sucked into a conflict that she has no control over. I’m just surprised by how shallow people looked at everything (this chapter in general).
And people stopped talking about Chad, so did his granddad appear or not?
