Great poem... so apt! Poor John! Aggrrgghhh!

I took a quick look at the fic and it's similar to what I believe happened (although I do think Sherlock was motivated by saving the recipients of all three sniper bullets, not just John - although of course John is paramount). There was also the cyclist and who knows what to throw John off track at the scene - his hand was grabbed away from Sherlock's pulse fairly quickly so it did not even have to be a very disabling drug if any. I assume that everyone on the scene (so fast!) had to be homeless network folks. Or Mycroft accomplices. The real question I have is whether Mycroft is in on it, too. I suspect he is.

I agree with your assessment of the episode. I loved it, and especially the John angst. The therapist scenes, graveside scene, and the scene of the fall ("Jesus no God no" is like a punch to the gut) - all of it stellar and emotional even after repeated watching. All of the actors were in top form.

I read today that in addition to confirming season 3, SM and MG have said that a Sherlock film might be in the works down the line.

Yes, it was a great season. And, really, each episode is like a film: 90 minutes and good production values, etc.

I'm kind of leaning toward the idea that Mycroft is in on it, but that's just a feeling, nothing more. It's possible, for example, that Sherlock and Mycroft were working together.

I don't think I was the one who got you into this fandom... wasn't it the other way around? I think you were writing fic before I had watched any of the eps, so I wasn't able to read what you were writing. And I have some catching up to do, come to think of it.

Anyway, was just reading bbcsherlock tumblr spoilers, and they say due to scheduling they can't film until late 2012, so series three will be 2013. Eek. Well, a year is better than 18 months, but still!!!! How do people get through these breaks? There are only so many times you can replay the episodes without going mad!
