Kitty update!
Hi, all! It's time for a kitty update! Because they're so cute...
I tried to get a Bingley face shot, but Mr. Wiggly is a real trick to photograph. Here's as close as I got. As you can see (even though he's blinking), he has golden eyes and slanty pupils. My sister says he looks part Siamese.
The boys are getting to be good buds. They play together...
And wrestle...
But they're very gentle with each other. The fights don't turn mean. I was afraid Knightley was getting annoyed at Bingley's pushiness-- he really is nonstop, and tries to interrupt when Knightley asks for his share of petting, which frustrates the bigger cat. Then, today, we had a little setback.
Bingley had to have his follow-up booster shot yesterday. It made him sore. I didn't realize how sore, until I got up this morning (with no cats in the bed) and went downstairs. Bingley and Knightley had spent the night on the couch. Poor Bingley was so sore, he limped badly when he tried to stand. I had to carry him to his litter box, poor bunny.
He spent the day recuperating, and Knightley stayed with him the whole time. I think his experience as daddy for a whole bunch of feral kitties surged to the fore; he was patient, and even gave little Bingley periodic kitten-licks of encouragement-- which nearly killed me with the cute. Bingley just flops against him and snuggles. It's adorability times three.
It was a long, quiet day, with snow falling outside. Fortunately I was able to stay home and rest up, and wait on my poor little aching buddy and his devoted, fuzzy guardian.
By evening, Bingley was feeling much better (he's getting around really well now, even on the stairs). He rewarded his helper with a little catbath.
How could anyone not love these guys? I am really glad I have kitties in my home again. :)
