На вид они выглядели обычно, а под крышкой скрывались неприличные картинки, иногда их бывало несколько.
Часто эти часы были автоматонами: с музыкой, фигурки на картинках двигались.
Сюжеты разные- там фигурируют и военные, и священники, и галантные кавалеры. Они носили романтические названия: "Ложе любви","Змей-искуситель" и т.п.
Что интересно-эта традиция продолжается до сих пор ведущими часовыми фирмами, часы пользуются неизменным спросом, цены на них превышают $100,000 US.
