Нашла этот блог, если мне не изменяет память- по линку к посту eregwen про Екатерину Медичи. Там очень много портретов и картин, и очень много спорного в версиях, кто изображен на знаменитых картинах- Мона Лиза и т.п. А также часто сомнительна принадлежность персонажей к семье Сфорца. Читать можно через гугл-переводчик, просто вводите линк на раздел- он сразу переводит весь текст.

Поскольку считается, что моделью для Венеры была Симонетта Веспуччи. «Рождение Венеры» и «Весна» хранились в вилле Кастелло под Флоренцией, принадлежавшей Козимо Медичи. Также есть версия, что Боттичелли написал «Рождение Венеры» не для Лоренцо Медичи, а для одного из своих знатных современников, а в собственность Медичи она попала позднее.
Но здесь автор обьясняет, что цветы и раковина- символы династий Сфорца-Висконти.
