Старинные жардиньерки

Жардиньерка- (Фр. jardiniere -- жардиньерка), от слова "jardin" - сад. Это слово очень часто встречается в литературе 19 века. В нашем понимании - это подставка, этажерка, ящик, корзинка для растений, выращиваемых в комнатах или на балконах.

Но в европейском понятии это слово означает также и емкость для выращивания растений- лоток или горшок, и низкую вазу для цветов для украшения интерьера или обеденного стола.
Они вошли в моду в 18 веке, были очень популярны в девятнадцатом, самые ценные делались их из полудрагоценных камней, фарфора, серебра и хрусталя.
