Tête-à-Tête. Сервизы и шляпки.

Tet A Tet- или tête à tête- это:
1) свидание, разговор с глазу на глаз 2) сервиз на две персоны 3) двухместное канапе.
Мебель тет-а-тет- в следующем посте, но оказывается- в моде были и шляпки tête-à-tête, и парные портреты.

"Les Invisibles en Tête-à-Tête"

Сервизы тет-а-тет (от французского tete-a-tete - «наедине», буквально «голова к голове»), часто дарились на свадьбу и символизировали дальнейшую совместную жизнь молодых супругов. Потом эта посуда часто передавалась по наследству. Нередко подобные сервизы в быту не использовались, а служили украшением интерьеров.
Эти сервизы отражают культуру и быт второй половины XVIII - первой половины XIX века, когда существовали формы таких взаимоотношений, как дружеская беседа, застолье, прогулка с возлюбленной или с возлюбленным на лоне природы, общение в домашнем кругу и так далее.

A three-dimensional floral design adorns this fabulous 10-piece Meissen tea set. Evocative of an enchanting woodland fairy tale, this exquisite set is crafted with an amazing attention to detail. Two teacups, saucers, and a creamer are elevated on delicate legs resembling tiny logs; the teapot and oval serving tray both display branch-like handles and a delicate rose tops the sugar bowl's lid.

This lovely little set was manufactured by William Guerin and Co., Limoges, France and designed exclusively to Gath & Chaves, Buenos Aires, Argentina. The mark indicates that it was made sometime between 1900 and 1932.

Сервиз на двоих на подносе-овале,
Где тот же, но крупно написан сюжет.
Художники кистью его рисовали.
И вот он в музее - сервиз «тет-а-тет».
