Старинная мебель с секретами.

Такой "хитрой" мебели с тайниками и сюрпризами было много, я уже показывала бюро, кабинеты, письменные и рабочие столики, столики для игр. Но вот такое старинное кресло я вижу впервые:

Кресло Преподобного R.S. Wilson Пресвитерианской церкви Douglas Presbyterian Church. Там множество сюрпризов и тайников, а также графины, бокалы и прочие мелочи для досуга и отдыха.



An extraordinary and highly imaginative chair presented to Reverend R.S. Wilson by his Castle Douglas Presbyterian Church congregation on the 25th of March 1890. This patented, custom-crafted piece is full of surprises within its numerous hidden compartments. Barware of six double old fashioned glasses, six cordials, and four decanters are tucked in along the sides

Six feet in the form of cornucopias and cones. Basis ornamented with a helical cut. Top black marble veined white recessed. Biedermeier style, circa 1820-30

Beautiful table games cherry veneer, satin and pear. The table unfolds after rotation of the plate. Buttons presses allow the opening of six secret drawers. It rests on four legs duct. Beautiful decoration ormolu like rosettes and falls. Germany, late eighteenth century. Attributed to JG Fiedler (1737-1797)

Sheraton Revival Secretaire Pembroke Table

Period of creation : 1850


An Extremely Rare Sheraton Revival Satinwood Secretaire Pembroke Table. The sliding top revealing a section containing small drawers and compartments which is raised mechanically by hidden lead weights.



This table is almost certainly by the prominent Nineteenth Century furniture makers, Wright and Mansfield, who specialised in extremely intricate workmanship as evident in this piece.

Table called "Tric-Trac". stamped Ancellet-Louis Denis (1735-1823). Mahogany polished and partially ebonisiert. Legs partly tinted inserted. Rectangular shape with rounded edges. Slightly tapered legs fluted columns. Two Zargenschübe. Removable leather-covered plate. Inside pitch deeper and laterally tlw two candlesticks, and 28 game pieces.
