Front view. This is a figure of a man with most of his skin peeled back to reveal some of the anatomy of the body. It is made from coloured wax and is mounted on a wooden stand. It is thought to be the work of Anna Morandi Manzolini (1716-1774) an Italian craftswoman in Bologna, whose skills as a wax modeller were famous in her day.
