I don't know how long it's been since I've posted...life is crazy.
How does a perfectly healthy 20 year old woman go into cardiac arrest? We were told today in Concert Choir that one of our own was working out in the campus rec center last night and went into cardiac arrest. Thankfully, the staff on hand were trained and able to make sure she left the building with a heart beat.
Clare and I have been in nearly all the same classes for the last 2.5 years, we're both choral music ed. majors, even so we aren't really friends beyond talking in class every now and then. But she's a nice person, and fun, and the SAME AGE AS ME! How the hell does that happen!?!
She's in ICU right now, her parents and brothers are here with her, and over the next 72 hours the doctors will be slowly bringing her out of the medically induced coma, to run tests and try to figure out what happened... I just don't even know what to say to that...She's 20 years old, in great shape...how does that happen?!?
