Opus cartoon
Several newspapers apparently refused to print Sunday's Opus cartoon, by Berkeley Breathed, so I am providing a link here.
I actually haven't read much of Breathed's recent stuff -- I found that his humour distinctly declined after he retired the original Bloom County strip, and although I revisit Opus from time to time, it always triggers a nostalgic desire for the old strip -- and although I do have the sense of visiting old friends, I also have the sense that these are old friends that aren't what they once were, and that our friendship declined for a reason. This cartoon kinda fits that mold; mildly amusing, I suppose, but nothing to the sharpness of the old Bloom County strips.
