Anhingas seem to be on my brain this morning, not just my patio

But the anhinga dive bombs into and out of water.

So do pelicans and seagulls. Though seagulls do it slightly less.

Yes, but pelicans are genuinely ugly and strange looking creatures.

My parents have anhingas behind their house. They live on a "lake" (retention pond), and I love looking out their window watching that spread-winged sunbathing :)
