another wonderful day!
though didn't manage to go skating (don't really feel good enough again which kinda makes me worry) but filled the day with a lot of other exciting things. finally saw the wooden palace in Kolomenskoye and even was inside - the exibition is not extraordinary but the palace itself is absolutely terrific!!!
th
en while the guys went, skating headed off to Cereteli's art gallery whichTyson has highly recommended me to visit, and he was right (especially about the apple with this sensual music and kamasutra-type scenes in it)! spent 2 hours there and would stay longer if it were not for Roerich gallery which I also wanted to see. got the guys to re-join me after skating (Tyson said it was crowded so it's good that I didin't go :) and we tried to get into the gallery but the line was too long, so finally decided to go to Burganov house which was also prety nice with this weird sculpture of hands, and legs, and huge shoes... even saw a master in the
process of making a new sculpture!
when we got out, it started snowing! to get warm had a cappucino and a chocolate pie in Zhurfak cafe - a bit pricy but a funky one, with a well-thought interrior: a lot of soviet books, pictures, and things (camera, type-writing machine, etc.), menu is served in thesis cover, bill in the grade book.
by the time we finished, Moscow was covered with some snow, so we cleaned all the cars along Prechistenka str. and all the benches at Gogolevski boulevard making a big snowball-fight! that was fun I hadn't have for ages )))
walked to Arbat, then took it further to Pushkinskaya where the guys left home, and I felt like checking the noise at Pushkin square so went up. it turned out to be some religious concert with guys giving out a Gospel. but I enjoyed the music and the atmosphere, and the snow kept falling... so I took a walk along Tverskaja to Teatralnaja metro station but as was coming close to it, realized that I can't miss seeing the Red Square - I haven't been there for ab. two months, haven't even see the main New Year's tree! so I had to go there, and it looked really gorgeous, with all those lights... a fairy-tale that comes true!
