The beginning of the end - Merlin 4x12
It’s not the best episode in S4, but it’s a very nice setup for the final episode. I wasn’t bored one single minute and I loved that not just the leads but also most of the regular characters got a moment of their own, and something very specific to them. (GWAINE! Welcome back! You were missed!)

SO. MUCH. EFFING. WORD.
It's one thing to drag out the series without the reveal and play off the secrecy for laughs - and it's a bloody another to have Merlin angst about it publicly IN EVERY EPISODE without RESOLVE, while also having a Merlin&Arthur conversation in EVERY SECOND EPISODE where Arthur is all "Merlin wut should I do with people who lie to me/betray me etc." Also there are really no excuses left to why Merlin should be so scared, Arthur is putting more and more faith in him, he basically became his number 1 adviser (loved how in this episode when they learned about the attack Merlin became SECOND HAND IN COMMAND) - but they can never be true friends when the reveal is still hanging in the air - ARRRRRRRRRRRGH
After 1.10 I gave up on the reveal and didn't expect it to happen anytime but after teasing us THIS WHOLE FUCKING SEASON?! Even hinting it THREE TIMES this last episode?
Lol no give me the reveal or I'll destroy our TV with the Christmas tree (which isn't the greatest of threat but... you know..
(Erh, sorry for hijacking the post/comment I'm just always glad when I see others who think this whole season was a logical build up for the reveal)

But yeah, I totally hear you, I feel like everything in this season has been building up to a reveal. Like hardcore. And if it doesn't happen, I'm just going to assume the writers are the SLOPPIEST writers in the history of forever, or they're just big cock-teases or something.
I will be waiting in anticipation for the next episode. God help us all.

I really, really have to get back watching Supernatural. I'm not the biggest of fans and haven't kept up with the series (I don't even remember what ep/season that gif is from, I only remember I realy liked that ep), but I do love me some Winchesters. :) A good thing to turn to while we wait for Merlin to return. *is already forming a plan*

I've actually never watched Supernatural and while I know many people in the Merlin fandom love it there are certain reasons I'm keeping away from it, but thanks to Tumblr I have .gifs like this and know many things about it :D
