We have reached civilized shores....

... because they've finally started airing HEROES over here - YAY! OK, so I have the chance to download all of Season 1 (which I partially did) and watch everything in advance - but it's just not the same as really having it reach TV screens in your country - it makes it more real, you know?

So, after watching the first two eps, I'm thrilled and hooked. The only bad thing is... what have they done to Hiro??? They dubbed ALL of his and Ando's stuff - even the stuff that was supposed to be in Japanese and with subtitles!!! That... that is just criminal - and it looks really stupid, IMO. For instance, when the police catch him in Isaac's apartment and start to question him, he first says (in broken German) that he doesn't speak "your language" very well - then the Asian police officer speaks up and you see Hiro's face light up and he just starts merrily chatting in the *very same language as before*. It just doesn't make sense if you don't know how it's supposed to be. What, was keeping the subtitles too expensive? WTFever.  Plus, there was no "Yatta!!", so double-suck. :(

Another gripe I have is that they pitched the series against another network's very busy series evening - another network is airing first Desperate Housewives, then Grey's Anatomy, and THEN Brothers & Sisters that very same evening. Competition is good, but this is insane. Let's hope Heroes still makes it against them. :)

Oh, and Supernatural is starting up as of next Monday (1st season), so YAY again!
