Weekend
I had a suricattus this weekend! She flew in on Friday, stayed to do a reading and signing at Mysterious Galaxy on Saturday, then flitted off to points north. I'm a bad fangirl, because in the five years that I've lived in San Diego, this is the first time I've been in Mysterious Galaxy. But I fulfilled my fannish obligation and bought a bunch of books, so now I don't feel so bad.
Yesterday, by way of experiment, I dyed my hair with Lush's Caca Rouge henna rather than the Caca Marron I've used before. The result is a nice dark reddish-brown, with red highlights where my gray hairs are. Haven't decided yet if I like it better than Marron. I think I'll need to wear it for a few days to decide.
It was actually cool enough this morning for me to wear the funky colorwork fingerless mittens I finished knitting a few days ago. They're extremely worm and cozy and look great with my denim jacket. I'm thinking of making a matching hat with the leftover yarn I have.
I'm not being very productive today, school-wise. I guess I should do something about that.
