Well, that was probably my last relaxing weekend for a while

This is the week I start my TA gig (first class is tomorrow, first discussion sessions on Thursday), so my last remaining shreds of free time are about to evaporate. Yeah, like I wasn't crazed enough already. Whee.

But hey, I have a completed capiron_bigbang draft! Two months before the deadline even, I don't know what the hell came over me. No wait, I know what came over me: the knowledge that I'm going to TA this quarter. Anyhow, it needs a lot of polishing, and is about 350 words short, but I can work all that out in revisions.

The weekend was mainly spent in writing, knitting, playing with my Wii, and cooking. Oh, and on Friday night, The Boy and I had movie night at his place, because he bought a Playstation 3 recently, and it doubles as a BlueRay DVD player. The Iron Man movie in BlueRay? Even more awesome. Fun times.

Eowyns and I joined a CSA together, and the first delivery was on Wednesday, so my fridge was suddenly full of organic fruits and veggies. I've already eaten the strawberries and the blood oranges and one of the apples, because I have no self-control. Yesterday I made soup from the kale and the mustard greens, and salad from one of the lettuces. The other lettuce will probably get eaten with dinner on SPN night. I think the dill will go into some chilled cucumber soup this weekend. Still trying to figure out what to do with the kohlrabi and the little purple baby carrots that look almost too cute to eat.

Sigh. That was a very nice weekend. Back to work now.
