Well these past two days have really brought me into the holidays. On Friday we had an interracial staff party at Outback.. nothing quite like Australia to put me in the Christmas spirit while being in Korea waiting to go to Thailand and missing the States/Mexico. I left there fully satisfied and happy with the company. As we were tiptoeing to the subway attempting not to fall on the ice and not wanting to break every bone in our bodies, I felt so excited that I had NOTHING to do the next day. I woke up and did absolutely that. There was a house Christmas party that we attended at night. I got exactly what I wanted for Christmas.. good eggnog. Santa is being so giving to me this year :) but man this get together just took me back to high school. A time when we would all sit around and drink just laughing, not for any particular reason but just having a good time. It was just what I needed for whatever reason.

Today (Sunday) I woke up at 9am .. after only sleeping 4 hours and I didn't feel tired at all. I should've gone to the gym, but I decided to go to Itaewon :) So many memories. I went to go check out lonely planet Vietnam at 'What the Book' and I couldn't get myself to spend $30 on this book when the only information I needed was at the end, about 50 pages, plus I was aggrivated at their holiday music selection blasting while I was trying to read. What exactly is a 'Canadian Christmas'? I had to put my toque on and think a'boot it.

As I walked back into the subway station and went to the bathroom I heard a lady speaking Spanish on her celly and she definitely sounded Mexican. I wanted to just sit in her lap, hug her, and take a nap while she kept speaking in Spanish. I miss hearing a beautiful language. She must've been talking to someone she lived with and they were getting their water fixed. I just love Mexican humor.. she said "Well where is the faucet then?.. Nono.. I think the cockroaches ate it.".. haha yes the cockroaches ate it. Whilst trying to settle down my excitement from hearing Spanish...which I NEVER hear unless it's that random Mariachi band that appears in the subway... I go down to wait for the actually Subway and these two OTHER Mexican guys were standing there speaking Spanish.. I thought WOOAHH! My lucky day, where are all these Mexicans coming from? Take me to your home for posada. After sitting down I was nosily trying to listen to what they were saying, but I was WAY to distracted by the two old Korean ladies sitting in front of me, speaking in what looked like sign language but involved a lot more hitting. Not just hitting the other person, but hitting themselves.. My stop came up and I seriously contemplated staying on this subway out of sheer entertainment being stuck between the 2 deaf Korean ladies and my Mexicans. Luckily a wave of hungover tiredness came over me so I didn't have to be a weird stalker and get off at my proper stop.

Now I'm scared to go to sleep because I know when I wake up it will be Monday morning and I just dread walking into that classroom. I'm trying to figure out how to make this a more pleasurable environment for both my kids and me, but I am just out of patience and energy.. mostly patience, I'm thinking it's an earplug kinda day tomorrow.
