Went to my parents' home last weekend. Got up there around 7 and we went out to eat. Unfortunately, my mom's food was cold and my dad's Caesar salad was more of a soup considering all the dressing that was on it. Thankfully, they were taken care of - my parents aren't big complainers, so I told the waitress about Mom's dish, and she did the same ( Read more... )

Thanks! I managed to see my buddy who lives across the sidewalk when I went home for lunch and he helped me move it forward into a big square of sunlight. Unfortunately, my next door neighbor's awning was shading it quite a bit so I made the executive decision to move it out. Still, it's head and secure and I don't live around any jerks who would tip it over.

Let them plants photosynthesize! I can't wait until its warm enough here to actually start growing things outside. Most of my stuff is still dormant, its lame!

They look so happy! I watered them during my lunch when the sun was right on them. Even though I'm not doing much, it's still nice to putter around outside a bit longer than usual.

Isn't it nice? I just planted a rose bush last night. Fingers crossed that it grows. Along with the two meadow lavenders I planted last year! Gardening is so great!

Lavender g rows stupid fast I hear, so hopefully they've got space to grow. But you can make all kinds of frou frou smelling stuff out of lavender, as long as you like the smell. I accidentally picked up a lavender plant, mistaking it for rosemary. Parents just kept it and they'll put it in the shrubbery.

Actually, I lied. Meadow sage, that's it. I always get it confused with lavender because it looks like it. I planted one last year and I hope it grows back.

Ah! I have some sage too.

Upon closer inspection, I think that the frost might have damaged my oregano since it wasn't covered (even a king-sized bed sheet won't cover the stand for some reason). It looked a bit puny. Hopefully it was just thirsty.

I think you'll be fine! Herbs and stuff are pretty full proof, just give them sun and water and they'll be fine!
