Last night I sent a flash to a new zine hoping they would like it as much I do.
This morning I heard, "I look forward to reading you and you should hear back from us in a few weeks." This is your basic "We got your submission" reply.
I checked my email again a few moments ago and saw another message from them. I opened it thinking it was a double reply. Nope.
Re: Submission: Eons of Books
Mari,
I am interested in publishing this piece but before I make an official acceptance I wanted to know if you were open to a few editorial suggestions? A very small few in your case :)
Thanks,

I of course said, "You bet!" I am not an author who feels their works are every done or golden, so it never bothers if they want a rewrite. After all, their names and reputations are on the zine more than mine.
That took less than 24 hours. I love when that happens.
