Something I've been working on
...that I wanted to share with you all!
I know that I've been lacking in the posting lately, and there are not really good reasons why, other than I've been busy with, well, life!
In addition to working and taking a course in grant writing (I got an A!), I recently was offered (and accepted) an assistantship at school for this coming year. This means that I will be getting PAID to go to school (as well as work a part-time job) this year. I am ecstatic!
But the real reason I'm writing is to introduce to you a new blog I've been working on. I've been thinking for years about starting a music blog to help stretch peoples' musical tastes. But I've never been able to really figure out a format that might work. Thanks to the good people at Last.fm, I think I'm ready.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you Doubletakes Music
The name needs working, I know, but I thought it explained a lot about the way I'd like to go about the whole thing. I'm trying to take two seemingly different concepts or kinds of music and find a way to connect them.
I have no clue how often I'll be updating it, but hopefully it will be regularly. Please have a look and offer any feedback or ideas for posts. I've got a fair few already stocked up, but I'm always open to new things.
