Broken Beauty
She's Beautiful, though you can't tell from simply looking at her. From the outside you see a messy bun from being rushed by the ticking clock, bags under her eyes from a racing mind, scars on her skin from her battles to survive, and a forced half hearted smile that is her mask. But if you take the risk of striking up a conversation with her you will see the beauty she hides underneath her armor. You will start to notice as those bags now surround bright and kind eyes. Then you will see that messy bun flop up and down anytime something excites her in the conversation. By this point you will be watching her so diligently that you now see her scars as she wears them as if they are the grandest of diamonds. Suddenly, her mask will fall and there in front of you will be a smile so warm and genuine that hours will have passed in the blink of an eye from indulging in the conversation with her just to keep it on her face. No, she isn't societies version of beautiful.
She is beautifully broken.
