May 18, 2008 09:19

And after some weeks of delay, here is the next chapter of Shibuya Place. Where we have a small trip in the forest where Tat-chan remembers *gasp* his guitar! (My own highlight of the day!) And Tassoula also arrives.

My next entry will be on the latest KT performances! <33

Chapter 8 - On Arsinoi’s birthday

Purple = french

After the quick language lesson Marilena decided to prevent Kazuya from talking further and struggling with Greek. She started kissing him passionately but unfortunately this other perfect moment was ruined by flashes of Arsinoi’s angry face shouting “Where have you been? Have you done any chores already?”
“Kazu-chan, I have something very important to tell you” she mumbled when she managed to break his kiss.
“Very important? Tell me? What?” he said looking concerned suddenly.
“Uhhm… The house. It’s open - unlocked. During all those hours.”
*Gloups*
“And there are chances Arsinoi is back waiting for me… you know… kowari”
“Waiting for you? You want to go back. I know she’s scary…”
“Have I told you you’re sweet?”
“Tomorrow me and my friends we are free and we plan to meet, all together. We’ll come take you as well for a picnic outside Tokyo.”

Next morning Marilena woke up on Arsinoi’s bed, being afraid that her friend would have kicked her away from it. But she hadn’t returned last night and she still wasn’t back. She called her but she still had her cell phone turned off. She took her breakfast alone and she noticed that Maki and Yoshiko had eaten the rice and had hanged the clothes to dry. She started putting them in the wardrobe when her phone rung.
“Hello!” she recognized Jin’s voice. “We are waiting for you outside your apartment.”
She took her bag and when she got out of the front door she saw that Yuichi was there and made a sign with his hand to her urging her to follow him. He guided her to the one of the two cars that were parked a little further away. Jin was driving the first one and Junno with Kazuya were his passengers. Tatsuya was driving the other car and she with Yuichi would be his passengers.
Is he afraid of showing intimacy in front of the others? Marilena thought.
They started driving and Marilena was just listening to them talking, but with the sound of the engine and her limited knowledge of the language she couldn’t understand about what. But their discussion had a really calming effect on her. She almost dozed off but when they got outside the city it was so beautiful that the scenery absorbed her.
After an hour they arrived near a small forest and parked at the end of the cemented street. Afterwards they walked through a narrow path for about 10 minutes and they arrived at a quiet and sunny clearing. They put a big cloth on the ground, grilled some meat on the barbeque and with the rice balls filled with vegetables that Jin’s mother had prepared, it was a perfect meal.
There was also a dangerous moment when Tatsuya took his guitar and Marilena thought that she would start screaming like a fourteen year old fangirl.
“I didn’t know that you played the guitar” she told him when he finished his song, and smiled as innocently as she could.
“Oh, I am sure you did” he said and pressed his lips, a movement that Marilena wasn’t sure whether he did out of habit or out of nervousness. She was shocked. She remained silent for a moment.
“I should have also known that I couldn’t hide from you…” she replied finally
“It’s they way you look at us. And the way you came to me speaking in French without hesitation the first time we met.”
“Now, that’s really weird.”
“Weirder than you think.”
But at that point the conversation was interrupted by Kazuya, who had noticed them talking about something serious in a language he couldn’t understand and felt jealous. He came and sat between them. He pouted his lips and started looking at them both, one at a time. He was about to ask them what they were talking about but at that moment Jin called him back. He told him to put the barbeque back in the car and sat by Marilena.
“So, where is your friend?” he asked her.
“How could I know? With the sixth member of your group, I suppose.”
“Ah! That Koki! Arsinoi is mine!!!”
“Yeah, dream on!” Tatsuya teased him.
“Wait, you speak English as well?” Jin asked confused.
“Yeah… but it was supposed to be a surprise. For some big occasion… you know!!!”

Koki and Arsinoi had spent the morning shopping. Arsinoi refused to go anywhere under daylight while wearing her evening dress and Koki proposed to buy her new clothes. They went at a quiet noodle bar for lunch and while they were drinking their coffee afterwards Arsinoi remembered to turn on her cell phone. Five messages from her sister came at once informing her about her arrival. It would be two hours later. The girl panicked.
“I don’t even know how to go to the airport from here!” she declared.
“Well, I know. I can take you there” Koki offered his help.
“Honto ni? You know you’re awesome, don’t you?”
The thing was that afterwards, Arsinoi had two other reasons to panic. The first was the incredible traffic jam and the second was because she couldn’t inform Tassoula that the one who would come to the airport with her was Tanaka Koki himself. With a lot of bypassing they managed to get to the airport ten minutes before the landing of the airplane and Arsinoi sent a message to Tassoula telling her what to expect.
Tassoula turned on her cell phone while she was waiting for her suitcase. She got the message and immediately called Arsinoi.
“You’re kidding me, right?” she asked before even greeting her.
“No, I am not!”
“No way!”
“Come and you’ll see!”
“Where is Marilena?”
“I don’t know… I haven’t seen her since yesterday morning. With friends I suppose!”
The two sisters walked till the place where Koki had parked his car and was now dozing off at the driver’s seat. He woke up and greeted Tassoula with the western way. Tassoula was flabbergasted by the whole casualness of the meeting. They drove back to the studio where they arrived at the same time with the other tramps.
Arsinoi introduced KAT-TUN to Tassoula and she couldn’t help grabbing the hands of them all. When she greeted Junno she couldn’t resist kissing his cheeks either. She also gave him one of her manga-like big smiles, to which he replied with a perfectly matching smile.
“Hey, what kind of greeting is that?” Jin asked.
“It’s the friendly one!” Arsinoi replied.
“Really? Then what is the more-than-friendly one?”
“That one” she replied as kissed Koki’s lips.
This made Jin groan but then he smiled as sweetly as usually and turned his back on the couple and turned to talk to Tatsuya.
“Do you think I can win her if I give her an exclusive, signed by me, very premature copy of our new single as a present?” he asked him in a very low voice.
“How should I know? Try, but be careful of the old man.”
Marilena was close enough to hear them and suddenly got very interested. Jin saw her and an “oops” expression appeared on his face but Tatsuya told him that she knew about them.
Marilena smiled broadly.
“This is where you shout «goal!!!»” she joked.
Tatsuya was the only one who laughed.
Arsinoi interrupted them by some sudden complaints.
“You forgot my birthday, all of you!” she sniveled.
“No we didn’t! I bought a cake for you yesterday! It’s in the refrigerator at my house.” Jin replied all happy.
