Tatta hitotsu no koi

To my utter dissapointment there was no baseball match yesterday. The guy at the sports center knew nothing and the other guys that came later didn't bring any info. *disgusted* Anyway, when I feel better I will keep searching. I will update when it's possible.
I spent the rest of the day watching Tatta hitotsu no koi (One and only love if I remember the translation correctly). Yeah, I still haven't caught up with everything in the fandom! I watched it all, 9 episodes in a raw! I had watched the first episode some days ago and it looked nice but cheezy somehow. And I wouldn't like a story full of lies and as the main character a heavy-looking womanizer. But after the 2nd episode there are no more lies (just secrets!) and the main character is the most awesome character I can imagine.

Summary & characters
It's a love story between the young heir of a small ship construction yard (Kanzaki Hiroto played by Kamenashi Kazuya) and the heir of a rich jewlery trader. But the enterprise is doing really badly. After the death of his father Hiroto must support his younger and sick brother while his mother works at a night job. Hiroto is the incarnation of the hard-working guy, brave and caring, serious and sensitive in the same time. (If I wasn't already crazy about Kazuya I would melt for Hiroto!)
His best friends are Ko and Ayuta, a track driver and a car mechanic. Ko is played by Tanaka Koki, so he is something of a clown sometimes and cute the other half. Ayuta is the guy that everybody considers nice but he always remains aside, caring about the hapiness of the others, but never getting a chance himself. (He is so much love!)
Nao, Hiroto's girlfriend is not the common rich girl. She doesn't care for one moment her boyfriend is poor and he hasn't even been to college, while she is studying. Taught to be grateful to her family, obedient and quiet, she is craving for attention. I think that what makes Hiroto fall in love with her is her purity and of course the attention she shows to his little brother helps a lot. And being able to rejoice about everything in life just because it is REAL... how many people are able to do that?

Impressions
What can I say? It's a story that could make even me cry. Every detail contributes to the feeling the story emits. No so much of the direction (I didn't find that exceptional), but of the sets and the objects in them. From the dirt on Hiroto's face, the poor but well kept house compared to the spacious and cute rich one, to the half-destroyed whale illuminator in the end...

Can I imagine somewhere in my head that after the end of the story, Hiroto plunged in the sea in front of his house and took out the ring he had made?
