Take That and MAD TV
I have a horrible headache today and I'll probably not go to class. I didn't even check my friends' list. I will do it and reply to comments later. But I came to the office just to post this.
TAKE THAT are BACK!!!
I saw their video-clip Shine on Mad TV this morning! (the Greek equivalent of MTV) This is old news. I had seen their CD in January in a Lancaster shop. But at that moment I thought... "hey! somebody is using their name or what?!" And this morning, when the song started, I saw the name again and recognized Mark's voice. And then I recognized all of them! (All but Robbie, that is) I was excited, just for the old times' sake. I used to be a huge Take That fan when I was in high school. (Yes, I am that old) It was my shortest-lived fandom ever, but it marked me. Well, of course, since for a couple of years I hardly thought of anything else than Take That. Happy times!
I think that I might miss things if I continue snobbing TV like that. I only open it for a few minutes in the morning before going to the office. I used to be addicted to MAD though. And that's why I took the TV out of my room and said "no more TV'". I spent 5 months without ever opening it, but I start missing Mad. I realized that a few days ago, when I went at Goody's, a Greek fast food chain, affiliated with Mad. That means that they have TV sets with Mad playing videoclips or whatever. And when I got in they were having a Within Temptation song on. I was in awe. The girl that was supposed to take my order was like "Hey! Are you going to order or watch TV?". I knew the group because somebody had given me a torrent. I had no idea they were so famous to be in TV!
But the truth is I have learned to spend my time without TV and it even makes me anxious most of the times. Never mind. Take That are back. I am happy for them! Even though I have so many different things into my mind and find so much more appealing right now.
