You have been spared all my Fullmetal Alchemist related stuff because most of it was posted in
hagaren_manga, but there are things about Naruto I think it would be useful to post. I've said things now and then, but a summary is necessary so that they are connected to the actual story.
Naruto Uzumaki is a 12-year-old boy trained in the art of ninjutsu. As the prankster of the Konoha (Leaf) village, he is more interested into causing havoc and attracting the others’ attention than his lessons. What he doesn’t know is that everybody hates him because soon after when he was born the sprit of a demon, the 9-tailed Fox, was sealed inside him. For the villagers, he is not a child but the monster responsible for many casualties.
Everything is going to change though, when after his value is recognized by his teacher, Iruka, Naruto graduates and enters a three member team for further training. Led by Kakashi Hatake and together with Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno, a new phase in Naruto’s life begin. Maybe he isn’t able to win Sakura’s heart, who is madly in love with Sasuke, but he finds in Sasuke his first friend. The three of them learn to be more effective and united. By facing greater challenges they acquire the experience they need in order to become useful members of their village and the Ho (Fire) country.
Even though Naruto is not at all able to control his power, he is very good at creating clones, which he uses in every occasion. Sasuke knows how to control his power better and he is able to use fire and the sharingan, the eyes of the Uchiha clan, which have the ability to predict and copy the moves of the opponent. Sakura doesn’t have special abilities, but she is the best in controlling her energy (charka).
The future of the team seems uncertain though, when an anthropomorphous monster, Orochimaru, decides to use Sasuke for his own purposes. After a biting on his neck, Sasuke must learn to control the Seal, which appears on his body and covers him during moments of anxiety. The quest for revenge on his completely sadistic brother makes his prone to insecurity and aloofness. Indeed, while seeking more power, he is going to abandon the team, without ever revealing his plans to anyone.
With one less member, but with the support of the whole village, Team 7 will try not only to find where the traitor for many but not for them went, but to face a paramilitary organization called Akatsuki (Red Moon).
And stuff about my longest-lasting fandom
The Empty Chair is a novel with the original Star Trek crew and many Romulans. The Enterprise decides to help a planet belonging in the Romulan Star Empire maintain its independence which seems only causing more trouble to the Federation when a Romulan vessel is heading towards the Sol system carrying a dangerous weapon.
I’ve only read a few chapters so far, but the long space battle they describe is very exciting and it is remarkably well-written. More exciting than watching it on screen because trying to imagine what happens according to the descriptions keeps your mind working. I’ll keep on reading and tell more about it when I finish.
Finally, my latest story is almost finished and it turns out to be better than I expected. I start finding it easier to concentrate again, lately. This makes me so hyper, naturally! I used to be extremely concentrated when I studied for school... It is great to have the advantages of my youth with more maturity and less naïveté.
And in addition I have a photo which I took some days ago. You can see my house in there (The pink one). It is on the top of a hill and I have a view of most of Athens and Pireaus from there. Maybe I should also take photos of the view one day. Anyway...
