Yosh! After finishing Konkatsu I can finally say my opinion about the drama series I am going to watch - probably - this season.
Quiz Show Golden
The story is interesting, as we get to see another side of the tv games. We have a quiz show in Greece (which is probably not Greek) where the guests are asked *only* personal questions but the 1st episode I watched was totally fake. The direction has made it totally uninteresting. But in Quiz show it’s more exciting. And I like season 2 more. More money and more time *are* golden. I also like how the producer seems more involved with the show and enjoy it more. And the MC doesn’t have the aggressive look Katagiri had. Sho has an ironic look I just love.
Atashinchi no Danshi
This story is very crazy for my taste, but I actually like it. It could be a crossover between Fruits Basket and Hana Kimi. I think the relationship the heroine has with her one-month husband must have been really enviable and he was a very interesting person. The 6 sons don’t excite me that much but it’s also interesting how they all do whatever comes into their minds. The heroine must really take care of a zoo! And a “magical” zoo what’s more. The subject of family ties is unfortunately a tired one though.
Smile
Maybe the most powerful drama of this season. I like the anti-racist theme and how cute the two main characters are. Jun smiling all the time in prison is almost surrealistic but it’s definitely the point of the story and the way Hana tries to express herself with movements is adorable and absolutely romantic. Do I love stories of hope, love, pain and betrayal that much?!
Godhand Teru
A surgeon with almost paranormal abilities could hardly be the subject of a medical drama. And the audience is forced to balance between feelings of pity and admiration for Teru. I wonder how this will evolve. Definitely surreal.
Konkatsu!
I would never watch this if it was not for dear Tatsuya. I can’t understand the Japanese obsession about marriage. It makes me feel bad about myself! But as a sit com it’s nice. It has the unfortunate hero, the loud and extravagant friend, the nice girls who want to get married… and of course the totally cool, happy-go-lucky and shinny little brother. Yeah, ok. You got why I watch this drama. Even though Nakai is really good in his role.
