Wake me up I must be dreaming...
Hmmm...
So I received a message on my phone this morning from the Senior Editor of National Geographic Magazine informing me that the photograph I submitted for their "Your Shots" June 2006 issue, was selected to be published.
And then I peed my pants... okay not quite, but I did jump up and down for about a minute.
The theme of the June 2006 "Your Shots" is "Where I Live." This is the first issue that will have the "Your Shots." It is a monthly thing where readers submit photographs according to the theme selected. The magazine accepts the first 5 thousand entries, and then selects their favorite. My photograph was chosen. I talked with the lady who called me about 30 minutes ago, and she told me that they chose two pictures for the first "Your Shots" because they aren't sure if they are going to go with just one every month, or two.
My photograph is going to be published in the June 2006 issue of National Geographic Magazine... National Geographic Magazine... Have you any idea how excited I am???
It's like a dream come true.
