Working at Point takes a lot out of you. I try to be really open faced and make the people I'm serving smile, so you kind of have to force yourself to be happy, which is almost as exhausting as seeing these god awful parents deal with their kids, or these wonderful parents dealing with these god awful kids. The concession stand is round, and there's always popcorn on the floor so you have to slide around on it to get to what you need to get. And I suck when handling money. I really suck.
I like it a lot though. It's a theater, and there's always something about a theater. The people who work there seem pretty cool so far.
The customers are interesting. It's seems like it would be a boring life, serving other people at a theater, or in a restaurant or something like that, but it's not. It's like you get your own little window into the way other people's lives work.
There are some creepy people who come to the movies though. There was this guy who was alone with his little maybe four year old kid who was like trying to hit on me to get me to get him a movie poster. That was actually a lot of fun. I answered him very matter of factly, smile on, voice even, and when I started to get a little impatient with him, he looked at me and asked me how old I was. I told him I was fifteen and smirked. His eyes widened and he backed away. It was really funny actually, I could have probably told someone I was being sexually harassed and gotten him kicked out, and I think he could tell that I could by the look on my face because he left right after he found out who the manager was. It was kind of awesome knowing that I could scare him a little bit. Haha, creeper.
I think I'll like working. I couldn't get a ride on Saturday night, so I stayed and sat in on Penelope without paying, and even as tired as I am right now, I think I'll be fine.
