Forgot to credit my icons; thanks queensjoy, obeydita, and iconic_delight for the pretty new ones!
I'm feeling much more relaxed about the history final, maybe because I watched Ratatouille last night, got a great night's sleep, and knowing that I can get to school early and study and type up my cheat sheet there. Do you guys know if they keep the LMC open during the exams for people who don't have them certain hours? That's what I was planning to do. I'm panicked, but I feel like I might actually make it out okay. I'm so excited for Appleton, I really missed forensics. I'm gonna try really hard to make it to state this year, I feel like I could do it if I go to enough tournaments.
I decided to study Spanish in a little bit of a different way. I'm taking one of my favorite songs and trying to translate it back to English. It's a beautiful song; Roda by Céu. I'm not really trying to translate it completely, I'm just trying to look at the words that I do know and string them together to make sense in a song. I'm still working on it.
Roda
O silêncio é a maior arma
Mata pra qualquer lugar
To na área,
Deslizando,
Num concreto a recortar
O horizonte ali adiante
Tomou forma geométrica
E o que era importante
Tive que memorizar
Sem problema,
To ligeira
Já bem sei remediar
Minha voz é o que me resta e rapidinho
Vai ecoar
Pelo vale, na Pompéia
De Caymmi eu ouço o mar
Villa Lobos, a floresta
Hoje eu vou sacolejar
Caiu na roda,
Ou acorda,
Ou vai rodar! (8x)
Consciência, a maior arma
Mata pra qualquer lugar
To na área deslizando
Num concreto a recortar
O horizonte ali adiante
Tomou forma geométrica
E o que era importante
Tive que memorizar
Sem problema,
To ligeira
Já bem sei remediar
Minha voz é o que me resta e rapidinho
Vai ecoar
Pelo vale, na Pompéia
