I know I prolly stress about silly stuff sometimes. The teeth thing is mostly because I had so much trouble with my teeth (first root canal at 16) even though we always had to brush and am now pretty damn phobic about dentists. I don't want Rhett to have to suffer like I did, you know?
I don't think my fear of dentists helps me stay objective. I don't know, they make it sound so dire if you don't brush their teeth 2xs a day for at least 2 minutes. She was saying I might have to hold him down and force him to let me brush them... and I kept thinking, I can't do that. I won't do that. Why would I do something to weaken his faith and trust in me and that may cause him to REALLY dislike brushing? And while she did recommend staying away from raisins (and it makes sense now that I think of it), she also recommended cutting out a lot of his carbs bc of the sugar in them... which I just can't do. Bagels or whole grain bread with cream cheese are his standard lunch. There's only so many foods he'll eat right now, if I took carbs out, he's lose prolly half of them. So I'm not following all her advice. So maybe I'm not too extreme.
I will stop stressing about the fingernails (until he starts scratching himself up again, anyway) and I'll just let him get used to the tooth brush gradually. And i think the bonding idea is good... Rhett can watch Daddy brush his teeth every night and Mommy in the morning.

Thanks again! :)
