Small Update

Two Mondays ago I did indeed go into the hospital (I barely made it from the doc's office - I had as much packing in my nose as possible to stop the bleeding and it didn't hold), and had two emergency surgeries and two embolysms to stop the bleeding before being discharged. The bleeding on the left side was arterial, and I was blessed to have my husband with me and my God-fearing doctor pray with me before my first emergency surgery on Monday. Monday was a terrifying day; I had to get three units of blood. Later that week in the hospital I started bleeding again, this time on the right side, but that bleeding was only from veins and was controlled with cauteriziation. That surgery was Wednesday. I received the Anointing of the sick from one of our priests and ashes on Ash Wednesday. I had a very difficult time coming out of surgery the second time in three days. I went home on Friday with minimal packing as my doctor thought I would be more comfortable there.

I got the packing removed this Wednesday and I've had no more bleeding, thank God. My doctor is assuming I'm two weeks behind at least on the recovery process, so everything is going very slowly. It's a relief to be able to breathe through my nose, so I'm sleeping a lot better, but I'm still very weak, which is very frustrating. I'm trying to be patient but haven't always succeeded. I appreciate your prayers so much. Thank you to everyone who prayed for me. So many things happened Providentially. I was well taken care of. Thanks be to God!
