Blogger Mom
I have recently found a really funny blog written by another stay-at-home mom (of six), called "Because I Said So". She claims that she is not funny herself, but that it is only her children that give her the material. She is too modest and has a great way of phrasing things to turn something that sometimes only a mom would find funny into a way that most everyone will find laugh-out-loud funny. I know I've nearly woken up Gregory and Jared at night while up enjoying her little vignettes.
I was thinking today that maybe it would be a while before I had the kind of daily inspiration that she has to write such stories. That was before Dominic "washed" the windows using a piece of ham. That was also before I realized that today was the day that Gregory started to do the "army crawl" and I found him on his hands and knees about six feet from where I left him, rocking over Dominic's open art kit. Dominic had taken the lid off the watercolors, and Gregory was supplying the "water" (consisting of drool and snot...eww) and Dominic set straight to work mixing up his paint and decorating his body. There's hope for me yet...
