nitaawe came up with two worthy inquiries - how exactly does nutmeg grow (tree? bush? underground?) and what do the longest fingernails in the world look like? i wish to satisfy these points of curiousity directly, and it is bittersweet to realize the most direct route is to google, despite my stubbornly entrenched library loyalites. if computers ( Read more... )

Maybe someday we will have computers that look like books. That way we can go to the library and pull them off the shelf and read them. In that way, perhaps you will be able to have the best of both worlds. I was thinking. I bet there were some people way back when who looked at those fancy new books that were bound on the edge and said, "I just don't like the feel of these. The scrolls are much better. It moves down in the direction you are reading."
