There's an hour and twenty minutes left of Christmas. I will say that I enjoyed the Christmas season although when it was finally time I couldn't believe Christmas was already here. But it was great nonetheless. I got some good presents, yes, but I enjoyed the time with my family and friends most. Which is corny, I know. But it's completely true.
There's only one thing that I didn't get that I asked for. And it's not something you can wrap up. It's just something.
Counting Crow's "A Long December" is a perfect song to go with this month. Not only is it December but the lyrics just are completely correct this month. December has definitely been tough.
"A long December, and there's reason to believe
Maybe this year will be better than the last
I can't remember the last thing that you said as you were leavin'
Now the days go by so fast"
Not only December but also 2006 has just been difficult in general. I hit many of life's targets dead on, bullseye. I always tell people that I don't regret. Which is true, but not regretting doesn't mean you don't remember. I loved 2006 and all the things it decided to throw at me, however I'm hoping for better luck in 2007. We'll see, it's life atleast it's fun.
"Burn This City" by Cartel is a PERFECT song to describe most of how me and my friend's lives were this year.
"Cause our days were numbered by nights,
And too many rooftops
But atleast we know if we die
We lived with passion."
Goodness, life is seriously flying by before my eyes. It's insane. I love it though, even though sometimes I seriously doubt a lot of things, I love it.
