Ужгородский замок один из старейших замков на Украине. Он расположен в месте Ужгорода, называемом Замкова Гора. Построен замок был в конце 10 века, но в 13 веке уже был разрушен. Дважды затем перестраивался и сейчас мы можем видеть замок преимущественно построенный в 16 веке.
Сейчас там находится краеведческий музей. Но долгое время замок был резиденцией вельможной семьи Другетов. И как любой уважающий себя замок, Ужгородский имеет в запасе славное прошлое и собственных призраков. По легенде юная, прекрасная дурочка дочь Другетов влюбилась в юного прекрасного поляка - графа Любомирского, который был им врагом. Разумеется было назначено свидание - возле тайного входа в замок. Ну а армии только этого и надо было, чтобы вломиться в замок. Графу Любомирскому отсекли голову, а девушку заживо замуровали в одной из стен замка. И с тех пор призрак Белой Девы по ночам бродит по замку. Любовь зла, чоужтам....
Снаружи замка вы увидите старые толстые стены с маленькими окошками-бойницами, зеленые поляны, колодец. который, как гласит легенда, напрямую соединяется с рекой Уж, и скультпутру сокола. Сокол как символ чести и героизма, о нем есть другая легенда. Во время сражения в 1703 году в разгар битвы сокол принес саблю Графу Ракоцу. Только после этого смогли они победить австрийских захватчиков.
Внутри замка вы увидите экспозицию этнической одежды, народных инструментов и разнообразного хенд-мейда. А также сможете посмотреть на быт вельможной семьи тех времен.

The Uzhgorod Castle is one of the oldest castles in Ukraine. It is situated in Uzhgorod on Castle Hill. The Castle was built at the end of the 10th century but it was ruined in the 13th century. Two re-buildings were made since that time. And now we can see the castle that was built mainly in the 16th century.
Nowadays, there’s the Museum of Local History there. But for a long time it was the residence of noble family Drugets. As every castle, Uzhgorod castle has exciting past, its own legends and ghosts. As to one legend, young and beautiful daughter of Druget fell in love with the enemy - young polish Earl, Lyubomirsky. She appointed him a date at the secret entrance of the castle. But the army used that entrance to break into the castle and cruel battle had started. The Earl was decapitated and the young girl was bricked up alive into a castle wall. Since that, the ghost of White Diva walks through, at the castle at night.
The exteriors of the castle are old walls with little windows, well-kept grounds, storing well, which, as the legend says, is connected with the Uzh river and the sculpture of falcon. Falcon is the symbol of honor and heroism. Another legend tells us about this sculpture. During the battle in 1703 a falcon brought a sword to Earl Rakotz. Only after that could they win against Austrian invaders.
You’ll find the exposition of ethnic wear, traditional musical instruments and hand-made things inside the castle. And you can study how people were living centuries ago.
So if you happen to be in Uzhgorod, I would strongly recommend you to get a guided tour around this Castle.
