Just got home from training.
I didn't attend class for we had to finish the routine and the choreographer wanted me to practice those kick arse stunts, which I hate.
Most particularly is the salto.
It's when you get thrown off in a basket toss, tuck your knees, do a 360 degree back roll in midair, and trust that your spotters would catch you when you fall.
I missed the spotters and I hit the ground headfirst twice or thrice. Don't worry, I still know who I am and where I go home to.
I'm being made to do three powerlifts. They're okay, I guess, but going down from them is pretty hard.
The first one is when they hold me in the elevator stunt, I get the powerlift, then I step on two other cheerleaders in shoulder stands in front of me, I do my thang, and I fall from behind. I trust my spotters, but you never know, right? All those what ifs swirl into my head and then I start thinking about medical insurance.
And then there's this powerlift where I had to balance on just one foot, raise the other up in the air, get my feet pushed forward so I'd fall, and hopefully, get caught.
I am seriously hoping that Kaye gets assigned to the helicopter stunt, which they made me do yesterday.
It's when they lift you up like a piece of meat, throw you 360 degrees in the x-axis, and oh yeah, they'd have to catch you, too. Tuck that lucky cricket in your pocket before you go.
The choreography's fab. :) We'd be dancing to Mundian To Bach Ke, and Carwash, among others.
