Summertime

Jun 17, 2009 13:22

Besides the heat, crowds, and lazyness summer brings (three things I cannot stand) I'm actually pretty happy that summer is here.

I could not be more ecstatic the junior year has ended, thank god. Hoping for an even better senior year, harder classes and a new school and a new home (were moving to Alta Loma around November, which I'm extremely excited considering Los Osos is a great school for academics and all.)

Here's my schedule for the upcoming year:
A.P English Composition
A.P U.S History
Honors Chemistry
Honors Algebra II
French II
AVID (but when I switch schools I think I'm going to sign up for something else, idk yet bc I still have to research the actual school I'm going to and what programs are the best as well.)

Clubs:
Speech and Debate
MUN
Cheer (possibly but I kind of don't want to)
Acadec (if i have time)
French Club
Thespian Society
Chorus (again, only if I have time)

I have 10 ballet classes weekly, plus recitals and rehearsals.. so as you can see it's rather difficult to be involved in school activities or whatever.

Summer Plans: Well, I've spent about a week in Victorville, mandatory. It was pretty boring, no lie, the mall there kinda sucks, no Macy's or Nordstroms, sigh. I went to my family's birthday party on Saturday up in Riverside (the nice part, mind you.) It was pretty fun, spent time in the jacuzzi and then me and my cousins goofed off in the golf course in my grandparent's backyard. Next day, went to Disneyland and I have never ever seen Disneyland so crowded even though OMG-WE-HAVE-A-BAD-ECONOMY-BUT-IM-GOING-TO-SPEND-90-DOLLARS-PER-PERSON-FOR-A-TRIP-TO-DISNEYLAND-PLUS-FOOD-WHICH-IS-REALLY-EXPENSIVE-THERE-EVEN-THOUGH-I-LOST-MY-JOB-ABOUT-A-MONTH-AGO. Anyway, we left pretty early for fear of me shoooting the next danm stroller that ran over my feet.

1) Going to Spain for about three weeks (to visit my father) then heading to Honduras for another two weeks to visit my aunt.
2) Going to Santa Monica soon, bc I just love their pier. Also Laguna and Huntington, basically I'm spending alot of time in the beach this year
3) Renting a condo in Mammoth for a weekend or more, sigh. I don't really like the mountains but at least I'll get to go shopping and horse back riding, and I love the bike riding then stopping to get ice-cream tradition we have. ERRR the lakes are pretty?
4) We're having plans to take a cruise to either Hawaii or the Caribbean or the Bahamas next summer, Princess Cruises, although they are a little boring considering it's filled with older people supposedly bc they're more expensive and teenagers really can't always afford to go on them unless they're with their family or extremely rich or whatever. But I can always find a really handsome lonely Nate Archibald/Edward Cullen to brood with *snickers*
p.s: why can't we just go on Royal and call it a day? They look funner anyway, since it's more for the middle class (which we are so I have no idea why we like going on more expensive cruises) and they have cute little nightclubs for us teens and mocktail parties.

And can we have a round of applause for the great selection of noncanon twilight fics that have popped up in the past month?! Way to open up your minds, bbs.
:D
