An early morning wreck today killed a man after he apparently lost control of the pickup truck he was driving and drove down an embankment into a ravine that leads to a creek.
Police said the 20-year-old man was driving a 1993 Ford truck in the westbound lanes of U.S. 290 East near Springdale Road when he lost control for unknown reasons, investigators said.
The man was taken shortly after the 3 a.m. accident to Brackenridge Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He was the only occupant in the truck.
The victim's name is not being released pending family notification.
