non illegitimus carborundum: don't let the bastards get you down. Hun, you're amazing and super-talented. If you didn't get in this year, then maybe you were just meant to be a star next year! Go to the apprenticeship, be strong, and show them what a mistake they made, or take the opportunity to learn why you didn't get in this year and work on your weak points for next year. It's worth it. Or you can just punk out and not show up because you feel ashamed or odd or some other negative emotion, but that's like telling them they were right. And confidence is never a bad thing. Read through what they said to you? Does it make sense? at all? maybe it doesn't, but maybe someday it will. I still have the letter I got the year I apprenticed, and I still look at it as legitimate criticism and work on the things that were weak points then and that I believe are still weak points now. Make any weaknesses your strength hunny, and you'll be born for greatness! I love you, and anytime you wanna talk feel free to give me a call. Always there.

P.S: these may very well be empty words right now, but I think it's worth saying. It might be just what you need. Besides, what's LJ for if not long rants? >^'-'^

Thanks dear.
That's the best advice I've gotten, and not with a sharp tongue sounding mad at me. *hugs*

P.P.S: wow. that was long. Oh! and an apprenticeship does not say anything about your relative wonderfulness to anyone else. Everyone's different, and nobody's perfect.
