Broad Street Run Training: Weeks 8 & 9 & 10

Week 8: Monday, March 15 - Sunday, March 21

Monday: no yoga

Tuesday: Ran 2 miles at 5.5mph

Wednesday: 45 min spinning class

Thursday: First outside run! 2 miles around the neighborhood.

Friday: rest day

Saturday: 2 miles outside in FDR park with a friend

Sunday: skipped cardio


Week 9: Monday, March 22 - Sunday, March 28

Monday: skipped yoga, but it turns out they've canceled the class so I feel less bad about missing it

Tuesday: Ran 4 miles outside in cold, icky weather. Go me!

Wednesday: skipped cardio

Thursday: flew to Texas for my cousin's bar mitzvah, did not fit in a run

Friday: rest

Saturday: Up early to run 4.6 miles with my sister and cousin. Really nice run.

Sunday: Traveling home, no cardio.


Week 10: Monday, March 29 - Sunday, April 4

Monday: nothing

Tuesday: sick - did not run today

Wednesday: skipped cardio

Thursday: 4 miles on Kelly drive with friends. Fun!

Friday: rest day

Saturday: Aiming for 6 miles but had to take lots of walking breaks and ran only 5.2 of the 6 I covered. Conclusion: I need a water carrier, do not like running on the sidewalk/highway areas, and mid-day running in the heat is also not a favorite!

Sunday: Did 50 minutes of cardio on the elliptical. Happy Easter to me.

Time left to race: 4 weeks
